Technology tutoring available to faculty in spring 2010

November 11, 2009

Faculty at Penn State's University Park campus can apply to have a technology-savvy student provide one-on-one assistance on a range of technology-related teaching, learning and class management topics.

Through the Technology Learning Assistant (TLA) program, students work with faculty in their offices on PowerPoint, Excel, file management, e-mail, Web page development, electronic gradebook software and other applications and tools. TLAs also can demonstrate how to use Penn State services such as ANGEL, podcasting and iTunes U, Adobe Connect desktop videoconferencing, ITS Streaming Services and the Blogs at Penn State.

Requests are now being accepted for TLA placement during the spring 2010 semester. To request a TLA or to learn more about the TLA program, visit
