American Diabetes Association recognizes Diabetes Alert Day

The Center for Disease Control reports that more than 5.7 million Americans with diabetes are unaware that they have the disease and that 57 million Americans are at risk for developing diabetes. On March 23, The American Diabetes Association (ADA) will recognize Diabetes Alert Day to help raise awareness to the risks of diabetes. To learn more about diabetes and its risks, visit the Penn State Hershey Diabetes and Obesity Institute’s Web site, which includes a link to participate in the ADA Risk Assessment.
