Pharmacist honored as a fellow by ASHP

Ronald E. Lay, a pharmacist at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, is among 38 across the country to be given the title of fellow by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. The ASHP Practitioner Recognition Program assesses each applicant’s credentials against criteria that include contributions to scientific literature, research, education and involvement and leadership in professional activities. Applicants also must have practiced in health-system pharmacy for at least 10 years.

The 2011 fellows will be honored on June 14 at the ASHP summer meeting in Denver, Colo.
