UHS welcomes new assistant director of clinical operations

Mary Alyce Nelson recently joined the staff of University Health Services (UHS), Penn State’s student health service at the University Park campus. Nelson will serve as assistant director of clinical operations and director of nursing.

A graduate of Bloomsburg State University with a master of science degree in nursing, Nelson brings nearly 25 years of nursing, psychiatric nursing and administrative experience to UHS. Prior to joining Penn State, Nelson served as Director of Lewistown Hospital’s School of Nursing.

“Mary Alyce brings a solid track record of leadership that will help UHS meet the challenges ahead," said Evan Pattishall, clinical director.

UHS provides nationally accredited medical care and health promotion services that help students get healthy and stay healthy. In addition to medical treatment for illness and injury, on-site services include a lab, X-ray services, a pharmacy, a nutrition clinic and physical therapy.
