'Immigration and the Law' topic for First Friday Series Nov. 11

November 03, 2011

"Immigration and the Law" is the topic when Penn State York's First Friday Series continues for fall at noon on Friday, Nov. 11, in the Community Room of the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center on campus. The program is free and open to the public and takes place later in the month due to a scheduling conflict.

Craig Trebilcock, local attorney specializing in immigration law, will share his thoughts on immigration and law and what's happening in York County. Trebilcock joined the firm of Shumaker Williams P.C., in 2006 and chairs the immigration section. His clients include individuals such as physicians, corporations and small United States businesses seeking specialized workers.

Trebilcock’s legal experience  in immigration matters is complemented by his many years of living overseas in Europe and the Middle East. His experience in working with people from many different cultures provides him with a unique insight in working with his clients and obtaining the best results for them from immigration authorities.

He most recently ran a successful campaign for judge and will be sworn in as the Judge of the York County Court of Common Pleas in York, Pa., in January 2012.

The goal of the First Friday Series is to introduce people to a variety of cultures and diversity issues. The series is sponsored by the Penn State York Diversity Committee. Attendees may bring lunch and take part in this informative program. Drinks and light snacks will be available.
