Relay for Life of Penn State seeks cancer survivors

Organizers of Relay for Life of Penn State, to be held from March 31 to April 1 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on the University Park campus, are seeking Penn State faculty and staff members who are cancer survivors. Relay for Life's Survivorship Committee seeks to recruit survivors to become involved in the 24-hour event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society for cancer research and patient services. The group's mission is to celebrate those who have won a battle with cancer, remember those who have passed and fight back against the disease.

During the relay, individuals come together to form teams of between eight and 20 people, with the goal of having at least one team member walking the track at all times. To join a team or get involved, visit Registration for cancer survivors is free. For more information, contact Jamie Bennett at or Lindsay Moore at
