April 30: Late-night breakfast free to campus community

April 25, 2012

Bacon, eggs and bread are being gathered in preparation for Penn State York’s free late-night breakfast, set for 8-10 p.m. on Monday, April 30, at the the Lion’s Den of the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center on campus. Members of the faculty, staff and alumni will sharpen their culinary skills, along with some help from the staff in the campus’s dining area, and prepare egg sandwiches for hungry students who need a break from their final-exam studies. Coffee, donuts and soda will complete the menu for the evening. The event is free to members of the Penn State York community.

The late-night breakfast has become a popular event on campus and provides a way for faculty and staff to connect with students and help them relieve some stress as they study for final exams.

In addition to the food, students can show off their dance moves through participation in the "Just Dance" event, or demonstrate their dodgeball skills with games in the gym. Members of the Penn State York Alumni Society also will be on hand to present graduating seniors with a small gift and provide information about the activities and events available to alumni.

The late-night breakfast is sponsored by the Penn State York Blue and White Society, Student Activity Fee, and the Penn State York Alumni Society.

  • Students take a break from studying for finals and enjoy the free food and conversation as part of the late-night breakfast held each semester during finals week at Penn State York.
