Student Government Association election results are announced

The Penn State Beaver Student Government Association (SGA) has announced election results for officers for the 2012-13 academic year. All officers will be sophomores in the fall. Election results for class representatives will be announced prior to the start of the fall semester.

Je Qa Powe was elected president. She is an engineering major from Pittsburgh. Dora Tweneboah, vice president, is a health and human development major from Monaca, Pa. Angelique Matthews was elected secretary and is enrolled in the Division of Undergraduate Studies. She is from Cypress, Calif. Treasurer is Jon Lach, a business major from Conway, Pa.

The SGA serves as the voice of the student population and makes decisions concerning student issues on campus and within the University. The SGA also oversees fund allocations to registered clubs and activities on campus.
