Fourteen flavors of Penn State’s famous Berkey Creamery ice cream will be available for local pick up this summer.

Half-gallons of the treat so fresh that it “mooves” from cow to cone in four days can be ordered online with a credit card at, or by calling the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College at 814-898-6159.

This year’s featured flavors are chocolate, vanilla, centennial vanilla bean, strawberry, peachy Paterno, bittersweet mint, butter pecan, peanut butter swirl, chocolate chip cookie dough, death by chocolate, cookies and cream, coconut chip, espresso fudge pie, and WPSU coffee break.

Half-gallons are $9 each, or $8 for orders of three or more. Orders must be placed by Monday, July 2, for pick up at Penn State Behrend between noon and 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 29.

Proceeds from the annual ice cream sale benefit the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society Scholarship at the campus. Since its inception in 1987, the Alumni Society has developed a variety of programs and activities that help alumni stay connected to their alma mater and to each other.
