UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Liza Bowles, executive director of Newport Partners, will speak at 4 p.m. on Nov. 7, at the Nittany Lion Inn, Ballrooms D and E, on the University Park campus of Penn State, as a part of the Hankin Distinguished Lecture series.

Bowles' talk, "Building Technology — Past, Present and Future," will discuss the idea that buildings are the forefront of technological revolutions. She will highlight past innovations and achievements and focus on today's markets and what to expect in the future.

The Hankin Distinguished Lecture series was established in 2006 to honor the late Bernard Hankin. The series brings world-class speakers to Penn State to address students and faculty with thought provoking topics and education.

The lecture is free and open to the public with an informal reception afterwards.
