Pennsylvania contains parts of three USDA-designated land resource regions. The Northern Atlantic Slope Diversified Farming Region, which encompasses the state's southeastern quadrant, contains nearly half of Pennsylvania's farmland and accounts for about 82% of its agricultural sales.
