Penn State commemorated the July 20, 1969 moon landing on Saturday with the Apollo Next Giant Leap Student (ANGLeS) Challenge on campus and a speaker and film event at The State Theatre. Co-hosted with the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown’s Code 4 STEM Academy, the ANGLeS Challenge asked middle and high school teams to simulate the moon landing using robotics, coding and drones as tools for learning about the Apollo 11 mission and developing STEM skills.
