Penn State University Libraries is offering its annual Open House for students and faculty who wish to acquaint themselves with services, collections and resources available to them at the libraries. Through Sept. 24, the Open House will again feature a digital badge — a visual representation of a skill of competency that has been learned — for all participants who complete the virtual event.

The Library of Congress has launched “Read Around the States,” an initiative featuring videos of U.S. Congress members presenting books recommended for young readers, followed by interviews with the authors. Pennsylvania Center for the Book's contribution features U.S. Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon of Pennsylvania’s Fifth District reading from “The Other Side” by Jacqueline Woodson, illustrated by E.B. Fall 2021 DAV workshops

Libraries announces fall 2021 data analytics and visualization workshops

Beginning Sept. 24, Penn State University Libraries and the Cloud Services team at Penn State are offering a series of virtual workshops on data analytics and visualization. Sessions will highlight tools for business analytics (Power BI, Tableau) and cloud platforms for big data analytics (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services).  Full story
