The combination of green tea extract and exercise reduced the severity of obesity-related fatty liver disease by 75% in mice fed a high-fat diet, according to Penn State researchers, whose recent study may point to a potential health strategy for people.

Hair auction pushes Penn State DuBois THON team to $32K record-breaking year
The Annual THON Dancer Sendoff Dinner and Hair Auction is the biggest fund-raising event for Penn State DuBois for THON each year, and it did not disappoint in 2020. At the end of the night, total funds raised this season for THON by DuBois students reached $32,082 to support the fight against childhood cancer, breaking the previous campus record. With donations accepted through Feb. 23, that number is still climbing.

Penn State Abington students majoring in elementary and early childhood education led a campus-wide drive that netted more than 500 winter coats for children in need at its partnership school in North Philadelphia.

Colin Hayes has known since arriving at the Penn State College of Medicine that he wanted to be a pediatric oncologist. He was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2011 and, after his first THON, decided he wanted to give back.

The 2020 Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) will be held at the Bryce Jordan Center from 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, through 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23. Here's what you need to know about entrance and access, public transportation and parking if you're planning to attend THON.
