Penn State has developed a comprehensive spring 2021 COVID-19 testing strategy for all campuses that includes both required and voluntary testing during the remote learning period and the in-person portion of the spring semester.

University releases revamped COVID-19 dashboard for spring semester
Penn State has released a redesigned version of its COVID-19 dashboard for the spring 2021 semester that provides additional information to help students, faculty, staff and community members better understand COVID-19 testing results, virus prevalence, and quarantine and isolation capacity on each of the University's campuses.

Couple establishes veterans scholarship at Penn State Brandywine
Penn State Brandywine alumnus Jack Wixted and his wife, Carol, have pledged $300,000 to create the Jack and Carol Wixted Veterans Scholarship for veteran and military students and their families.

On Tuesday, Jan. 12, Penn State Scranton Instructional Designer Griff Lewis and colleagues from other campuses held Commonwealth Connections: Instructor Day, an all-day virtual faculty development event featuring engaging Zoom sessions devoted to various facets of online course delivery.

Penn State Center Philadelphia collaboration is providing meals during COVID-19
Food insecurity for many people was not created by the COVID-19 pandemic, but the crisis is exposing it as a global issue and in many cases, making it worse. In Philadelphia, the People's Kitchen is a community-driven program that was co-created during the COVID-19 pandemic as a response to food insecurity, unemployment, immigration and land use and development. The Penn State Center Philadelphia, a service of Penn State Outreach, is a collaborator on the project along with the Food Decisions Research Lab in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State, 215 People's Alliance and South Philly Barbacoa.
