Students reminded to vote in 2020 primary, mail-in ballots encouraged
Penn State encourages eligible students to be engaged citizens by participating in elections and understanding the issues that affect them today and in the future. Voting in local, state and national elections is one of the most important duties of an engaged citizen. College-aged voters account for almost one-third of the eligible voting population.

Students must enroll in Two-Factor Authentication before May 12 deadline
Beginning May 12, all Penn State students will be required to enroll in and use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to access the more than 2,300 sites and services protected by WebAccess.

Hintzes commit $100,000 for emergency aid to students
Two of Penn State's most generous supporters and prominent alumni leaders have made a new commitment to support students impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Helen S. Hintz, 1960, and Edward "Ed" R. Hintz, 1959, have directed $100,000 to the Student Care and Advocacy Emergency Fund.

More than 200 join Earth Day discussion on climate and carbon at Penn State
On April 22, the Sustainability Institute hosted a virtual information session, "Climate and Carbon Challenges at Penn State," to address the work of Penn State students, faculty and staff to accelerate the University's mitigation efforts against climate change. The event brought focus on four climate-action initiatives underway throughout Penn State, including research projects, methods and institutional initiatives to set and reach more ambitious climate goals.

Penn State Campus Recreation is now offering a library of more than 50 workouts online through YouTube as well as live classes that are held every business day on the Penn State Campus Recreation Instagram. Group fitness instructor Alexis "Lexi" Neimeyer talked about her experience on the transition to virtual fitness classes.
