Pennsylvania launches COVID Alert PA app to help mitigate virus spread
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine are encouraging Pennsylvanians to download COVID Alert PA, a COVID-19 exposure notification app designed to help fight the spread of the virus. Penn State is asking community members to do the same and utilize the app to help support existing virus monitoring and contact tracing efforts at the University.

Rock Ethics Institute now accepting Faculty Fellowship program applications
The Rock Ethics Institute is now accepting applications for its 2021-22 Faculty Fellowship program. Faculty and established research scientists at all Penn State campuses are eligible to apply.

Entrepreneurship training available for researchers through NSF short course
Academic researchers interested in exploring the commercial potential of their technological innovations are invited to apply to a free National Science Foundation Innovation Corps (NSF I-Corps) Virtual Short Course to be held Oct. 23 through Nov. 14. Applications are due Oct. 2.

National Coffee with a Cop Day is on Oct. 7, and Penn State police officers are celebrating by hosting a virtual event at noon for the Penn State community.
