The staff at all of the residence hall areas on the University Park campus have incorporated a variety of new safety measures throughout the facilities to help students living there to socially distance and stay well.

A computer screen at the entrance to Market East, located in the East Halls complex at Penn State, counts the number of customers who have entered and exited. Below 22 occupants, and the screen is green and welcomes students into the market. Over 22, and the screen turns red and asks students to wait until shoppers depart and the screen returns to green.

Students visiting the dining areas at residence halls are asked to take advantage of the hand sanitizing stations located at the entrances, and to remain socially distanced as they get their order.
