Important information and resources to assist in LionPATH transition

Beginning Aug. 29, LionPATH will become the official student information system at Penn State.

There are a number of resources for LionPATH users with questions about its functionality — including tutorials and announcements for students, parents and faculty/staff. These can all be located by visiting the LionPATH Launch Page. It is recommended that students, parents and faculty/staff bookmark this website for future reference.

Below is some information about the transition to LionPATH to assist in navigating the new system:

Final transition to LionPATH important dates and information: On Aug. 29, LionPATH will become the official system of record. On this date, the following information will be available in LionPATH: summer grades, degree audits, transcripts and more.

Due date for fall 2016 student bills extended to Aug. 29: Due to the transition from eLion to LionPATH, Penn State has extended the due date for fall 2016 student bills from Aug. 22 to Aug. 29. The billing statement will still reflect the Aug. 22 date, but payments will be accepted until Aug. 29 without incurring any late fees.

Parent access in LionPATH: Authorized payer versus delegated access: Students can give parents access to see the same information that was available in eLion. In LionPATH, there are two separate access points for parents: authorized payer and delegated access.

Fall drop/add deadlines, census date approaching: Last fall, the University Faculty Senate approved changes to the drop/add policy, changing the period students may drop or add courses without academic penalty from 10 calendar days to six calendar days.

Students can purchase textbooks online through LionPATH: Students can view their course textbooks in LionPATH and even purchase the textbooks online from the Barnes and Noble website.

LionPATH mobile app available: There is a mobile app available for students to download from Google Play for Android and from the Apple App Store for iOS. LionPATH mobile is a secure app requiring students to log in using their Penn State Access Account.
