Chambers, Sanderson, others to join Franklin on Coaches Caravan

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Building on the success of his vision to “Dominate The State,” Penn State football coach James Franklin and several head coaches will embark on the Penn State Coaches Caravan tour this spring, with stops in 12 locales. Eight of the events will take place in Pennsylvania, with additional stops in Baltimore, New York City, Washington, D.C., and New Jersey.

The first set of head coaches participating in the Penn State Coaches Caravan have been confirmed, with Patrick Chambers (men’s basketball), Guy Gadowsky (men’s hockey), Russ Rose (women’s volleyball), Denise St. Pierre (women’s golf) and Cael Sanderson (wrestling) all scheduled to join Franklin at selected events.

Director of Athletics Sandy Barbour also is scheduled to attend all 12 Coaches Caravan events. Additional head coaches and football assistant coaches are expected to attend Coaches Caravan events and will be announced once confirmed.

As a benefit of membership, Penn State Alumni Association and Nittany Lion Club members have the opportunity to begin registering for Coaches Caravan events at a reduced rate, before Caravan registration is open to the general public. Penn State Alumni Association and Nittany Lion Club members will receive details via email.

Registration for the general public opens Monday, March 30, and online registration sites and information will be distributed that day.

Advance registration is required for all events on the Penn State Coaches Caravan, which is jointly sponsored by the Penn State Alumni Association and the Nittany Lion Club.
