What if health care didn't have to mean hospital?

Penn State biology student Shevy Karbasi witnessed firsthand the toll frequent trips for blood work took on his already-exhausted grandfather while he underwent treatment for lung cancer. Motivated by this experience, Karbasi set out to mobilize the process for cancer patients to monitor their complete blood count, making it simpler, safer and more convenient. With entrepreneurial guidance, education and funding from programs at Penn State, Karbasi is doing just that. To learn more about his work, visit impact.psu.edu.
