One of Casey Lehecka’s biggest goals before graduating was to get a job as a broadcast meteorologist. Now, with graduation still a few months away, she has already worked as a broadcast meteorologist at WJAC, an NBC affiliate in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, for three months.
Aerospace student puts people in motion to support veterans

Robert Veltre III, a Schreyer Honors Scholar and aerospace engineering major at Penn State, is the founder and race director of the Brave American Classic 5K and 10K, an annual event that supports military and veteran wellness. This year's race will be held March 4 in Pittsburgh.

With one year at Penn State under her belt, Marissa Sheva feels confident and relaxed at juggling academics with her role as a member of both the women’s soccer and track and field teams. Scheduling isn’t easy, but Sheva, a sophomore majoring in security and risk analysis, has adjusted to her busy campus life and is succeeding on the field and in the classroom.
