Internationally acclaimed graphic designer Chaz Maviyane-Davies will deliver a talk titled "Creative Defiance" as part of the Stuckeman School lecture series from 6 to 8 p.m. March 30 in the Stuckeman Family Building Jury Space. The lecture will be followed by a gallery reception for Maviyane-Davies' concluding exhibit in the Stuckeman School's Rouse Gallery. Both events are free and open to the public.

Tom Leader, an illustrious landscape architect with more than three decades of industry experience, will give a talk entitled "Recent Work" at 6 p.m. April 5 in 112 Forest Resources Building on the Penn State University Park campus. Leader is speaking as part of the Penn State Department of Landscape Architecture John R. Bracken Lecture Series, and is being honored as the Department of Landscape Architecture 2011 John R. Bracken Fellow.
Laura Hansplant, a landscape architect specializing in sustainable design and planning, will give a talk at noon Feb. 15, in 101 Stuckeman Family Building on the University Park campus of Penn State. The lecture is supported by the H. Campbell and Eleanor R. Stuckeman School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
Michelangelo Sabatino, associate professor at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston, will give a talk from noon to 2 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the jury space at the Stuckeman Building on Penn State's University Park campus. Titled "Topographies of the Modern: Architectural Environments of Arthur Erickson," Sabatino's talk will focus on the evolution of the style of Canadian architect Arthur Erickson. This marks the second lecture of the "Outside Looking In" series.
Martin Kaltwasser, co-founder of Folke Koebberling / Martin Kaltwasser and guest scholar at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, will speak 6 p.m. on Jan. 25 in Penn State's Stuckeman Family Building jury space. Kaltwasser's talk kicks off the "Outside Looking In" lecture series.
Meg Calkins, an associate professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Ball State University, will give a talk titled "Sustainable in a Material World" at 6 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Palmer Lipcon Auditorium in the Penn State Palmer Museum of Art, on the University Park campus. A reception will follow.
