Greg Forbes, severe weather expert for The Weather Channel, found a familiar place when he returned to Penn State’s University Park campus to accept one of 14 Alumni Fellow Awards, the highest honor given by the Penn State Alumni Association.

Penn State alumnus Delbert Day has been named a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). Election to NAI Fellow status is “the highest professional distinction accorded solely to academic inventors who have demonstrated a prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development, and welfare of society.”
Arthur L. Baldwin, an alumnus of Penn State, has been honored with a 2011 Alumni Fellow Award. The Alumni Fellow Award is the most prestigious award given by the Penn State Alumni Association. Since 1973, the Alumni Fellow Award has been given to select alumni who, as leaders in their professional fields, are nominated by an academic college and accept an invitation from the President of the University to return to campus to share their expertise with students, faculty, and administrators.
