WPSU welcomes community for free family event at Innovation Park Oct. 24

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — WPSU welcomes families from around the Centre Region to its annual PBS KIDS event at Penn State’s Innovation Park on Sunday, Oct. 24.

WPSU’s Eventapalooza will be held outdoors from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Outreach Building parking lot at 100 Innovation Blvd. in State College. The community event is free, but advance registration is required at the Eventapalooza webpage. Attendees will need to check in upon arrival.

The theme for this year’s event is “Family,” and activities and giveaways will include:

  • Experiments, crafts and take-and-make kits from WPSU, Penn State and community organizations
  • Free WPSU grab-and-go bags for the first 500 children ages 3 through 10
  • PBS KIDS character standees for selfies

Eventapalooza will follow Penn State’s coronavirus guidelines. In addition, attendees are encouraged to wear masks, and tables will be spaced appropriately for social distancing protocols and equipped with sanitation supplies.

WPSU-TV serves 24 counties in central Pennsylvania and reaches 515,000 households, and WPSU-FM is accessible to more than 450,000 listeners in 13 counties.
