Award-winning NBC News correspondent set for guest lecture

An award-winning journalist who serves as a senior national correspondent for NBC News will present a guest lecture at Penn State in mid-October.

Kate Snow, a correspondent for several shows, including “Today,” “NBC Nightly News” and “Dateline NBC,” will be featured in a free public session at 6 p.m. Oct. 11 in Freeman Auditorium at the HUB-Robeson Center on the University Park campus of Penn State.

Snow also anchors “NBC Nightly News” on Sundays. In 2016, she earned an Emmy Award for her interview of women who had accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault. The segment aired on “Dateline NBC.”

She joined NBC News in 2010. Before that, she was a co-anchor for the weekend edition of “Good Morning America” from 2004 to 2010.

Snow earned her bachelor’s degree at Cornell University and added a master’s in foreign service from Georgetown University. Her visit is sponsored by the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications and the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Visiting Professional Program.
