Penn College ranks in top 10 in U.S. News' Regional Colleges North category

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Pennsylvania College of Technology is a top-10 performer in the “Regional Colleges North” category in U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 Best Colleges rankings, announced today (Sept. 13).

Penn College is tied for ninth best overall in the “Regional Colleges North” category of the annual rankings, which take into account more than 15 separate measures of academic quality.

The college is tied for No. 7 in the “Top Public Schools – Regional Colleges North” ranking category.

Penn College also earned a No. 4 ranking among “Best Colleges for Veterans – Regional Colleges North.”

Additionally, the college fared well in “Best Value Schools – Regional Colleges North,” ranking No. 17 (11th among public institutions).

According to U.S. News’ rankings methodology, the Regional Colleges category focuses on institutions that offer undergraduate education but grant fewer than 50% of their degrees in liberal arts disciplines, predominantly offering two-year associate degrees. U.S. News ranks them in four geographical groups: North, South, Midwest and West.

The online version of U.S. News 2022 Best Colleges provides data-driven guidance to prospective students and their families. U.S. News also publishes a printed version of the rankings in its “Best Colleges 2022 Guidebook,” available in bookstores on Nov. 2.
