UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — To increase efficiency at the two asymptomatic COVID-19 testing sites on the University Park campus, beginning today (Sept. 8) testing at Pegula Ice Arena will be available by appointment only for students, faculty and staff who are required to test weekly. Drop-in and by-appointment testing will continue to be available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday at the White Building for Penn State students, faculty and staff.

Individuals who are required to test weekly and need to schedule an appointment at Pegula Ice Arena or the White Building should follow the link in their weekly testing email. The White Building has significantly more appointment times available than the limited number of appointment slots at Pegula Ice Arena. Voluntary testing is only available at the White Building on a drop-in basis and will be completed in between scheduled appointments.

Individuals who are being tested should bring their mobile phone and Penn State id+ Card to the testing site and plan to spend at least one hour on site for the full testing process.

Individuals who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, regardless of their vaccination status, should seek out testing through a health care provider. At University Park, symptomatic students should schedule testing appointments with University Health Services (UHS) via myUHS. Faculty and staff are advised to schedule an appointment with their health care provider.

Pegula Ice Arena will continue to be a testing site for Intercollegiate Athletics because of its proximity to athletics facilities.

Visit the University’s Coronavirus Information website for the latest information on testing and other COVID-19 communications.
