UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Members of the Class of 2025 can "Be A Part From The Start," on Sunday, Aug. 22, when the Lion Ambassadors — the student-alumni corps of the Penn State Alumni Association — host their annual welcome back event.

This year’s "Be A Part From The Start" will welcome the newest class of Nittany Lions to Penn State both in-person and virtually through a live broadcast.

First-year students can tune in to a livestream at 8 p.m. on Aug. 22 on the Lion Ambassadors' Facebook page, where they will hear Penn State fight songs, be welcomed into the Penn State community, and feel the University's spirit and pride. University Park first-year students also can attend this year’s event at Rec Hall.

Masks are required for in-person attendance for this event, regardless of vaccination status.

Special appearances will be made throughout the broadcast, with community leaders, the Blue Band, and several student clubs and organizations all taking part in the welcome back event.

Through the live broadcast, all Penn Staters, not just members of the Class of 2025, are invited to join and enjoy "Be A Part From The Start."

The welcome week fun doesn’t start and stop Sunday evening, though.

"BASH," the Blue & White Society’s signature welcome back event, will take place in-person on Wednesday, Aug. 25, outside of the Hintz Family Alumni Center.

"BASH" will include free food, giveaways, activities and the opportunity to join or renew one’s membership in the Blue & White Society, the Alumni Association's student membership organization.

Follow the Blue & White Society on Twitter and Instagram for additional updates on what to expect at this year’s "BASH."
