Penn State University Press kicks off school year with 'State Sale'

Sale includes 40-70% off books about Penn State through Aug. 29

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Press is celebrating the start of a new semester with 40%-70% off select titles about the University, its history, and its community in an online sale. Readers can use discount code STATE through Aug. 29 on the Press’s website.

Included in the sale are titles on the founding and history of Penn State by historian Roger L. Williams; "Among the Woo People," a collection of humorous essays about life in State College by Penn State professor and StateCollege.com columnist Russell Frank; and "Lair of the Lion," a history of Beaver Stadium by Lee Stout and Harry H. West.

Founded in 1956, Penn State University Press publishes high-quality books, journals, and graphic novels of interest to scholars and general readers, with a focus on the humanities and social sciences.
