CATA to resume full service Aug. 21; Campus, Hershey shuttles to resume service

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) and Penn State Transportation Services have announced return dates for their full bus and shuttle services.

CATA will resume its full service schedule for the fall semester beginning Saturday, Aug. 21.

As part of CATA's fall semester service changes, White Loop campus service will return beginning Saturday, Aug. 21, with Green Link campus service set to begin on Monday, Aug. 23.

Campus Shuttle via Beaver Avenue

The Campus Shuttle via Beaver Avenue will begin fall semester service on Monday, Aug. 23. The shuttle runs in the opposite direction from the Campus Shuttle via College Avenue route and provides service to 16 stops every 20 minutes from 7:15 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

The Shields Building stop will now serve as the first stop for the via Beaver Avenue route, which will allow for two trips prior to 8 a.m. to the stop near the Arboretum for law school students now parking at the Commuter lots.

Hershey Shuttle

The Hershey Shuttle will resume service between University Park and the College of Medicine in Hershey beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7. 

This service is for academic-related travel only and requires advance approval for students. Visit the Hershey Shuttle webpage for more information.

Masks are required on all public transportation in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
