Hazleton LaunchBox announces no-cost workshops in August, September

HAZLETON, Pa. – The Hazleton LaunchBox supported by Pasco L. Schiavo, Esq. is accepting participants for two of its upcoming, no-cost programs designed for entrepreneurs.

The Idea Design Lab will help aspiring entrepreneurs design, develop and refine business ideas and identify the next steps of the start-up process. The session features hands-on learning with brainstorming and other creative exercises. It will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, with a Spanish-language version offered from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 20. Participants can attend virtually or in person at the LaunchBox.

The Idea Test Lab is designed to teach entrepreneurs how to better understand customer problems, where to reach potential customers and how to identify the value they can provide to customers. The three-week program is held 6-8 p.m. every Tuesday from Sept. 14 to Oct. 5 at the LaunchBox. A Spanish-language version of the program will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Fridays.

Located at 13 W. Broad St., the LaunchBox provides entrepreneurs and early-stage startups with support and resources to build a sustainable business and a viable plan for growth. A signature program of the Invent Penn State initiative, it is one of 21 innovation hubs in communities across the state. 

Since opening its doors in fall 2019, the LaunchBox has supported more than 200 community members and provided services for more than 30 businesses.
