UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's summer commencement ceremonies at the University Park campus will be held Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Bryce Jordan Center.
This summer Penn State expects to award approximately 3,217 diplomas to students University-wide who are completing 192 associate, 1,618 baccalaureate, 1,071 master's, and 336 doctoral degrees. All figures listed are estimates as of Aug. 2. Overall totals do not include the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 conditions around the country and in Pennsylvania, effective Aug. 4, Penn State will require all students, faculty, staff and visitors — including those who are vaccinated and unvaccinated — to wear masks indoors at all campuses. In accordance with University measures, all graduating students and guests will be required to wear masks while inside campus buildings during commencement weekend, including in the Bryce Jordan Center during commencement ceremonies.
Undergraduates
The ceremony for undergraduate and associate degree candidates will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center. Degree candidates are expected to arrive 1 hour before the ceremony start time. The ceremony will include brief remarks from Penn State President Eric Barron, the conferring of degrees, and a welcome into the Penn State Alumni Association.

The Graduate School
The Graduate School ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center. Graduate degree candidates are to arrive 1 hour before the ceremony start time. The ceremony will include brief remarks from Penn State President Eric Barron, the conferring of degrees, and a welcome into the Penn State Alumni Association.
