Six elected to Graduate School Alumni Society Board of Directors

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Graduate School announces the Penn State alumni who have been elected to serve a three-year term on the Graduate School Alumni Society Board of Directors beginning July 1. The new members are: 

Levon Esters, At-Large member, holds a doctorate in agriculture and extension education from Penn State. He is professor of agricultural sciences education and communication at Purdue University, and serves as director of the Mentoring@Purdue (M@P) program.

— Kimberly Fenstermacher, College of Nursing representative, holds master's (2004) and doctoral (2011) degrees, and is assistant dean of nursing at Messiah College. 

— Hannah Furnas, College of the Liberal Arts representative, holds  master's (2014) and doctoral (2017) degrees, and is a research manager at Facebook in Menlo Park, California. 

— Megan Matthews, Eberly College of Science representative, holds a 2011 doctoral degree and is assistant professor of chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania. 

— Claudia Parada, College of Earth and Mineral Sciences representative, holds master's (2001) and doctoral (2008) degrees, and is a senior reservoir engineer at BP in Houston, Texas. 

— Joslenne Peña, College of Information Sciences and Technology representative, holds master's (2015) and doctoral (2020) degrees, and is a visiting assistant professor of computer science at Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota.
