Each month nominations are received in the chancellor's office for employees whose peers feel they have gone above and beyond in their job duties.

In nominating Krehel, Director of Enrollment Management Sandra Feather said: "John has been a father figure to our out-of-state basketball players who live in the University Commons apartments (across from the campus). As John said to me, 'I just pick up the garbage' and I said 'NO' -- you make a difference in these young men's lives."

Feather further stated that Krehel's dedication and commitment to these students is a prime example of everyone helping with campus enrollment and helping to make Penn State Scranton a truly welcoming campus.

Congratulations, John!

The Employee of the Month recognition was initiated in 2016 by Wafa as a way of distinguishing staff members who "go above and beyond the call of duty" in serving Penn State Scranton.

Campus staff, faculty and students are encouraged to nominate staff members that deserve to be recognized for “going above and beyond.” The link for nominations is: https://scranton.psu.edu/form/employee-month-nomination-form.
