ALTOONA, Pa. — The Altoona LaunchBox supported by the Hite family recently wrapped up its Business Bootcamp, and cash prizes were awarded for first and second places in the Bootcamp Business Plan Competition.

The bootcamp is open to entrepreneurs in all stages of development and provides the resources and education needed to turn ideas into successful businesses.

First place and $4,000 was awarded to Joseph Fraundorfer and his company, C2J Industries LLC. Second place and $1,000 was awarded to Kayla Pongrac with Do Tell Books LLC.

Twelve local entrepreneurs attended the eight-week, virtual bootcamp that concluded in May. "Graduating" entrepreneurs had the opportunity to participate in the Bootcamp Business Plan Competition using what they learned throughout the program to create a full business plan highlighting their entrepreneurial endeavors.

A panel of independent judges reviewed the plans and awarded money to those who demonstrated the ability to achieve their stated goals and who presented a viable, sustainable concept.
