DuBois got off to a slow start, and unfortunately the Owls from Mississippi got off to a quick start on the bats. DuBois finally got on the board in the third inning when Malliah Schreck singled in Skylar Ceprish.

Scott would go out after three innings before Brittney Williams would come in for relief for two-and-a-third innings of work. Brooke Harvey came in to finish the game, but it was too little too late.
