Committee advances proposal to sell Hershey property

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Board of Trustees Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning moved forward a proposal today (May 6) to sell a property near the Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Campus for $1,025,000. The full board will consider the measure at its meeting on May 7.

The 1.21-acre property, a two-story, 21,439-square-foot structure, is located at 140 Sipe Ave., Derry Township, Dauphin County. At the time of purchase in June 1987, the property provided expansion opportunities for the information services/information technology unit. The building is currently vacant, and the University has no future need for the property.
