UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Take a virtual tour of Italy, learn about Asian American culture, become a master chef in your own home, and take a trip out of this world — all beginning May 11 with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Penn State. OLLI is inviting everyone, including nonmembers, to register for Maymester courses delivered online through Zoom.

OLLI at Penn State, a service of Penn State Outreach, is a volunteer-driven membership organization open to all members of the community who are 50 years or better, offering intellectually stimulating courses, trips and social activities. Brynn Rousselin, director for OLLI at Penn State, said three out of the four courses offered during Maymester are new to OLLI this year.

“We are excited to offer Maymester as a new opportunity for mature learners to stay engaged and connected with each other between our spring and summer semesters. Most of the courses are fresh content for us, offered by instructors who have received glowing reviews from other Osher Institutes,” Rousselin said. “I encourage anyone who has been thinking about joining OLLI to register for a Maymester course — it’s a great way to try it out before committing to an actual membership.”

OLLI at Penn State Maymester courses cost $15 each. Members and nonmembers can register for each of the following courses without having to purchase an annual membership:
