UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Acting Pennsylvania Physician General Dr. Denise Johnson visited the Regional Vaccination Clinic at the Bryce Jordan Center today (May 3) to address vaccine hesitancy and encourage college students to get vaccinated before the semester ends. Dr. Johnson received a full tour of the clinic including registration, vaccine administration and the post-vaccine recovery area. Individuals at the clinic may select either the Johnson & Johnson or Moderna vaccine and, while appointments are encouraged, drop-ins are also welcome.
“We are grateful for Dr. Johnson calling attention to the availability of vaccines on campus,” said Kelly Wolgast, director of the COVID-19 Operations Control Center. “With the choice of vaccines and the ability to drop in without an appointment, it’s never been easier or more convenient to get a vaccine. I strongly urge everyone in our community to get a vaccine, and particularly our students are encouraged to stop by the clinic and get vaccinated prior to leaving campus for the summer. Parents arriving for student pick-up are also welcome to drop-in at the BJC to get their vaccine.”
