Hazleton employees honored for career milestones in years of service ceremony

HAZLETON, Pa. — More than two dozen employees celebrating milestones in their years of service to Penn State Hazleton were honored during a virtual ceremony on Friday, April 23.

Chancellor Gary M. Lawler and other campus leaders commended them on their work ethic, enthusiasm and commitment.

Employees recognized during the ceremony include:

One year: William Andahazy, entrepreneurship coordinator; Megan Bobish, athletic trainer; Joe Dolinsky, marketing communications specialist; Michele Foust; assistant to the director of academic affairs; Sgt. James Joos, police services officer; Paul Kattner, police services officer; Tyler Kozlofski, information technology support specialist; Jamie Myers, Allied Health program coordinator; Richton Penn, police services officer; and Keith Underkoffler; residence life coordinator.

Five years: Daniel Gutierrez, lecturer in administration of justice; Garrett Huck, assistant professor of rehabilitation and human services; Kaitlyn Krasucki, career services coordinator and advising instructor in career management; and Abigail Myers, research technologist.

Ten years: Gina Dignazio, residence hall utility worker; Daniel Mansson, associate professor of communication arts and sciences; and Tammy Spevak, student success coordinator and first-year-experience instructor.

Fifteen years: Sarah Evancho, financial aid coordinator; Mark Moran, janitorial worker; Robert Pecile, mechanic; and Carole Shearer, assistant to the chancellor.

Twenty years: Christopher Goguen, associate professor of biology; Robert Matchick, maintenance worker; Elizabeth Wright, director of academic affairs, Penn State Hazleton, and associate dean for academic affairs, Office of the Senior Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses; Frantisek Marko, professor of mathematics; Diane Wood, food preparer; and Michele Yanuzzi, administrative support assistant.

Twenty-five years: Sherry Robinson, business program coordinator and associate professor of business; Barbara Brazon, information sciences and technology program coordinator and assistant teaching professor of information sciences and technology; and Carol Jastremsky, administrative support assistant.

Thirty years: David Phillips, maintenance worker.
