WYOMISSING, Pa. — The final Penn State Berks LionSide Chat for the spring 2021 semester will feature an interview with Chancellor George Grant, who assumed this leadership role in January. The upcoming session is titled “Positioning Penn State Berks for the Future” and will be broadcast live at 12:15–1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5.

In this special LionSide Chat, Grant will talk with the LionSide crew about his first semester at the college and provide insight into his initial impressions of the Berks campus community and his vision for its future.

Penn State Berks LionSide Chats are a modern interpretation of former U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Depression-era “Fireside Chats.” These webinars provide current and timely talks from college faculty and staff experts on a variety of topics and disciplines.

A new series of LionSide Chats will begin in later this summer, focused on how students can make a smooth transition to college. The one-hour webinars (30 minutes of content, 30 minutes discussion/questions) are free and open to the public. All LionSide Chats will be delivered via Zoom webinars. A complete schedule of talks and recordings of past chats can be found on the LionSide Chats website.
