Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute released the latest episode of its Engage Podcast, discussing the importance of data and how sharing data advances science. Jennifer McCormick, an associate professor of humanities at Penn State College of Medicine, gives an overview of the different types of data collected in health research, the importance of informed consent, and data ownership issues. 

McCormick provides research ethics consultations to the Penn State research community as part of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute services. Learn more about institute consultations here
