Women in Leadership seminar to feature Lorraine Goffe

The College of Arts and Architecture's Center for Pedagogy in Arts and Design will present a Women in Leadership Seminar featuring Lorraine Goffe, vice president for human resources and chief human resources officer, from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 29, via Zoom. The event is open to all Penn State faculty, staff and graduate students, but registration is required here.

The Women in Leadership Seminar Series seeks to prepare women within the Penn State community to be effective leaders. Each session highlights the work and experience of a female leader from inside or outside the University community. The seminar begins with the speaker sharing her stories of leadership, followed by audience interaction and questions. 

Goffe is an innovative human resources leader, internal consultant and coach with more than 20 years of experience leading human resources in higher education and academic medicine. She also has extensive experience in for-profit environments, where she began her career. At Penn State, Goffe is responsible for the strategies, operations, services and programs that support the organization's 40,000 faculty and staff across the commonwealth. Prior to joining Penn State in March 2019, Goffe served as vice president for human resources at MIT and vice chancellor for human resources at Washington University, among other leadership roles. She currently serves on the board of the American Research Universities HR Institute.
