“Dr. Bashall was an outstanding resident to work with during my ICU rotation,” a current student wrote. “She challenged my learning by having me critically think about the patient presentation and analyze their lab values. My questions weren't just met with a simplified answer, but she would walk me through a thought process and challenge me to seek the answer out.

“I felt like her style significantly improved my approach to patients and my diagnostic skills. All too often, our questions are met with simplistic answers without any challenging of our thought process. Dr. Bashall definitely pushed me to be my best, and I was grateful for the rotation time with her.”

Bashall earned her undergraduate degree from Northern Kentucky University and attended medical school at the University of Louisville. Her professional interests include global health and medical education. She also enjoys scuba diving, snowboarding, hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing and kayaking.
