Justice Education Week

Justice Education Week, a mostly virtual week-long event sponsored by the College of Education, will be held April 19-24. The hope is to bring awareness to the crisis of incarceration, its human impact, and build support for transformative educational movements in carceral settings and beyond. The week kicks off at 6 p.m. April 19 with a keynote by Angela Davis, professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and author of several books on race, class, feminism and the U.S. prison system. Find more information and a schedule of events here.

Seeking participants for research study

Jennifer Hanna, a doctoral candidate in the Department of Educational Psychology, Counseling, and Special Education, is seeking students to participate in an IRB-approved research study looking at decisions about child maltreatment reporting. Participation is voluntary and completely anonymous. The online survey will take about 10 minutes and can be accessed here. For more information, contact Hanna at jlc505@psu.edu.

If you have an announcement you would like to share with the College of Education, send it via email to edrelations@psu.edu. Submissions must include a contact name and telephone number so that Connections can verify the information.
