Blue & White Society to host virtual events for eighth annual PS i(heart)U Week

Events for the week of April 12-16 are open to all Penn Staters and include a virtual panel on student leadership through COVID-19

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Blue & White Society is hosting a number of virtual events during its eighth annual PS i(heart)U Week, which is set for April 12-16.

The mission of PS i(heart)U Week, hosted by the student membership organization of the Penn State Alumni Association, is to encourage pride in the University, celebrate Penn State traditions, and show appreciation to the members of the Blue & White Society.

Events for the week are open to all Penn Staters and include a virtual panel on student leadership through COVID-19, featuring leaders from the Blue & White Society, fellow Alumni Association student org Lion Ambassadors, Black Caucus, State of State, and other organizations. This event will wrap up PS i(heart)U Week on Friday, April 16.

The week’s schedule of events and activities includes:

  • April 12: Virtual Tarot Card Reading
  • April 13: Virtual Escape Room
  • April 14: Virtual Painting Class
  • April 14: Drag Queen Bingo, hosted by a fan-favorite of the hit TV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race”
  • April 15: Virtual Caricature Artists
  • April 15: Lion Ambassadors: Exhibition of Who We Are Keynote Panel
  • April 16: Virtual Student Panel: Leadership Through COVID-19

The Lion Ambassadors keynote panel on April 15 will highlight underrepresented and marginalized communities at Penn State, with a panel consisting of prominent BIPOC Penn Staters.

Throughout PS i(heart)U Week, there will be in-person recruitment tables for University Park students. Set up at locations around the University Park campus, these stations will provide information on how students can join the Blue & White Society, allow existing members to renew their membership, and feature some fun freebie giveaways.

The Blue & White Society is the student membership of the Penn State Alumni Association, with societies at campuses across the commonwealth. With more than 8,000 members, it is the largest and one of the most active student organizations at Penn State. The Blue & White Society plans many events on campus each year while also participating in events such as THON, Homecoming, and various community service programs.
