Register for session about applying project management principles to research

SMaRT Connects networking session is May 6

HERSHEY, Pa. — “Applying Project Management Principles for Research Studies” will be presented at the next Penn State College of Medicine SMaRT Connects webinar from 1 to 2 p.m. on May 6.

Veronica Flock and Laura Hanson, project managers from the Mayo Clinic Office of Clinical Trials, Center for Clinical and Translational Science, will discuss the alignment of the Project Management Institute principles of project management to the research project lifecycle as well as highlight practical implementations to support research processes. Research professionals will engage in breakout sessions to reflect on how these principles can be applied to their own research projects. 

SMaRT Connects, a resource of the Staffing, Mentorship and Research Training (SMaRT) Program, supports human subjects research professionals through timely College of Medicine research process information, professional development and networking. At each session, attendees will learn the latest tips, techniques, policies and procedures from subject matter experts who facilitate discussion, answer questions and provide guidance.
