Inaugural Happy Valley Animation Festival invites submissions

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Happy Valley Animation Festival, an open, international competition hosted by the Animation Club at Penn State, invites submissions for its inaugural event, to be held April 29-30 at the Barbara O. and James R. Korner Tower Terrace, located under the water tower between the Stuckeman Family and Theatre buildings on the University Park campus.

Students, early career and practicing professional artists, designers and filmmakers may submit works in three primary categories: animated films; animated motion graphics and design; and experimental animated works.

Submissions are due by April 21 at https://filmfreeway.com/HVAF.

The festival is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Architecture, School of Visual Arts, Penn State Animation Club, FilmFreeway and Emitto.
