Free wet weather biking virtual workshop set for March 31

Event also will include a make-your-own fender demonstration using recycled materials

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Transportation Services will host a free wet weather biking virtual workshop from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31.

Instructors will share tips to keep bikers safe and bikes in working order during seasonal rain. There also will be a demonstration on how to make a homemade bike fender from recycled materials that can help keep riders dry when biking in the rain. 

Participants should have recycled materials such as plastic bottles and jugs, cardboard, and zip ties ready before the bike fender portion of the workshop begins.
